Meet Joel Sanchez, LCSW
As a bicultural Mexican-American psychotherapist, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York (license number 080198).
I received my Master of Social Work degree from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2006. After graduation, I worked in outpatient mental health facilities in New York City in the Bronx and Washington Heights, serving the Latine community.

In 2012, in order to live life at a slower pace, I moved with my family to the Catskills in New York State, where I started a very successful private practice. As the only full time, native Spanish speaking private psychotherapist in Sullivan County, I provided mental health services to the local community, as well as immigrants from numerous Latin American countries.
In addition to my Master of Social Work degree, I also hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Theatre from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Diploma in Acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
